Two teenagers were arrested after allegedly shooting and killing a man southwest of Albuquerque on Thursday afternoon
Santiago Armijo and Jeremiah de la Pena, both 15, were admitted to the juvenile detention center in connection with the 25-year-old murder of Larry Desantiago .
On Thursday around 5 pm, authorities were called to Tower Pond Park located on 86th Street and Tower SW, after a report of a shooting.
According to agent Simon Drobik , when the officers arrived they found the man with a bullet wound in the chest, the man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The authorities arrested two people who fled while the police arrived. Witnesses said they were responsible for the shooting.
Detectives found the gun near the scene of the crime.
Both teenagers face murder charges.
